Dian Hong Black Tea, hailing from Yunnan Province, is known for its golden buds and luxurious, bold profile. The dry leaves smell like honey and roasted nuts, while the infusion brings out comforting notes of bread crust, cocoa, and dried fruit. Smooth, sweet, and full-bodied, with a sugarcane-like lingering finish and a hint of astringency if steeped too long.

The tea is crafted from ancient tea trees, hand-harvested and processed through withering, rolling, fermentation, and careful roasting. The terroir—high elevation, red volcanic soil, misty mornings—gives it a rich mouthfeel and "mineral sweetness" rarely found in other black teas.

Q1: Is Dian Hong suitable for beginners?
✅ Absolutely. Dian Hong is smooth and rich without being overwhelmingly bitter. Its versatility with milk or sugar makes it great for beginners transitioning into full-bodied teas.

Q2: What’s the difference between Dian Hong and Keemun?
Dian Hong has a stronger, maltier taste and pairs well with milk. Keemun is more floral, lighter in body, and often served plain.

Q3: Can I add milk or sugar to Dian Hong?
Yes! Dian Hong stands up well to milk and sweeteners—perfect for milk tea lovers or cozy tea lattes.

Q4: Why does my Dian Hong taste a bit astringent?
It may be due to over-steeping or using too much tea. Try lowering the steep time and keeping water at 90–95°C.
