TEASTRAT is pleased to offer a variety of Certified Organic teas of the highest quality and palate.
Each of our teas undergo strict independent third-party lot testing for herbicides and pesticides for each botanical ingredient.
Therefore, whilst not all of our teas are Certified Organic, they are all rigorously tested to ensure that they are free from harmful chemicals and toxins.
TEASTRAT maintains a very close relationship with each of the gardens we work with and do not require them to undergo the process of becoming Certified Organic. These certifications can impose large costs on our growers and are often not affordable for smaller gardens to obtain. TEASTRAT is proud to support small-scale growers and are extremely conscious of the implications of necessitating this type of credential.

At Tea Start, we are dedicated artisans in the craft of tea blending. Our approach is dynamic, focusing on capturing the essence of each harvest's unique terroir rather than replicating the taste of the previous year's English Breakfast.

Much like the world of wine, our goal is not to maintain the same taste across different harvests, but to consistently refine our recipes to highlight the best characteristics of each season's tea leaves.

This dynamic blending process ensures that we never compromise on quality. We are committed to continuous innovation and fine-tuning our blends to achieve the most exquisite flavor profiles possible. This is part of our ongoing mission to create teas that offer the ultimate sensory experience.

As a result, you may notice slight variations in taste between batches, as each one is carefully reblended to enhance and improve upon the last.

To ensure the high-quality, delicate tea leaves reach you in the best possible condition, all of our teas at Tea Start are hand-packaged into complimentary food-grade aluminum foil bags. These bags are specifically chosen because they provide an optimal environment for preserving the intended flavor and freshness of your tea during shipping and storage.

Unfortunately, due to the importance of maintaining the quality and integrity of our tea, we are unable to accommodate requests to ship our tea without the food-grade aluminum foil bag included.

Our food-grade aluminum foil bags are designed to protect the tea from external factors such as moisture, light, and odors. They are an essential part of our commitment to delivering the freshest and most flavorful tea experience to you. We encourage you to reuse or recycle these bags responsibly after enjoying your tea, in line with your local recycling guidelines.

Normally we don't provide support during weekends, except for urgent cases. In these cases, you only need to mark “Urgent” in your email, we will get back to you ASAP.

Shipping & Ordering FQA

You will receive a shipping confirmation with your tracking number after your order has been processed. Please allow for 24-48 hours from the time the tracking number is issued for updates to be reflected.

Delivery Signature Policy

Please note: To promote social distancing, there will be no signature required upon delivery for orders of any value.

For all orders over $200.00, a signature will be required upon delivery.

If you prefer that no signature be required upon delivery, please specify this in the notes section of your cart before proceeding to the checkout page.

Return and Exchange Policy

As tea is treated as a food item by both the USFDA and CFIA, returns are not accepted due to food safety risks.

If upon receiving your package you find that it is damaged or that there is an error in your order, kindly email us at 「Anken.teastart@gmail.com」 within 7 days of delivery. To help us quickly identify the transaction, please attach a photograph of the damaged, incorrect, or missing item along with your order number.

From 1 July 2021, the Valued-Added Tax (VAT) on cross-border business-to-consumer (B2C) e-commerce activities in the European Union (EU) has to be applied on all goods that are sold online to EU.

We collect VAT for EU orders less than 150 EUR when customers make order. And we will make declaration for customs with our IOSS number ((IOSS is the way that the sender will pre-pay the VAT, which means no more calls from Customs or courier services asking for an extra payment when the goods arrive in the buyer’s home country.)
Order more than 150 EUR will be taxed at importation in the EU Member State.
Does the product price on product page include the VAT?
No, the price on product page does not include the VAT. The VAT will be calculated after you filled the shipping address.

We do our upmost best to insure that you will receive anything you buy from us in perfect condition. If there’s any damage during shipping, you can ask for a refund or replacement.

EU VAT and Customs Clearance Options

For EU consumers who prefer not to include tax when placing an order, but instead choose to clear customs and pay for the tax and additional handling fees charged by local customs, you can select the option:

Note that in some situations in some countries you may be required to pay import duties or taxes on your order, as assessed by your own government.
