The taste of tea leaves naturally varies from one harvest to the next due to changes in rainfall, temperature, and soil conditions. We see this not as a problem, but as an opportunity.

Instead of using artificial flavorings to force an identical taste year after year, our tea artisans embrace this seasonality. They carefully taste the leaves from each new harvest and then skillfully rebalance our blends to highlight the best qualities of that specific season—perhaps it's a brighter floral note one year, or a richer, maltier body the next.

So yes, you may notice subtle, beautiful differences between batches.

This is your guarantee that you are always drinking tea made from the freshest, most recent harvest, crafted to be the most delicious version of itself.

As a trading company, our facilities are registered with the FDA and all our products comply with their strict regulations.

We offer a dedicated collection of teas that are Certified Organic.

More importantly, our standard for purity applies to every single tea we source.
Every batch, whether certified organic or not, undergoes strict third-party lab testing for pesticides and herbicides. If it doesn’t meet our stringent standards for purity, we simply don’t sell it.

So, why isn't every tea certified?
We proudly partner with small, family-run farms that use traditional, sustainable growing methods. The official 'Certified Organic' designation can be prohibitively expensive for these small growers.
We choose to support these incredible artisans based on the quality and purity of their tea, not their ability to pay for a label.

That’s the most important question you can ask. The difference is night and day, and it comes down to three things: the leaf, the craft, and the freshness.

1. It Starts with the Leaf
Most supermarket tea is made from the tiny fragments and dust of tea leaves (called “fannings”) sourced from countless anonymous farms. It's designed for a strong, fast, one-note brew inside a paper tea bag.

We use only whole or premium-grade broken leaves sourced directly from farming families we know and trust. These leaves have their essential oils intact, which is where all the complex aroma and flavor live.

2. Artisan Craft vs. Industrial Production
This is the key difference. Supermarket tea is made through massive, mechanical production where the goal is absolute uniformity and low cost. The unique character of the leaf is often lost.

We practice small-batch roasting and processing by hand. Think of it like the difference between a freshly baked loaf of artisan bread and mass-produced sliced bread from a factory. Our tea artisans carefully adjust the process for each small batch to bring out its unique, beautiful character. It’s a hands-on craft, not an industrial process.

Ordering & Shipping

Normally we don't provide support during weekends, except for urgent cases. In these cases, you only need to mark “Urgent” in your email, we will get back to you ASAP.

U.S. Orders

  • Tea Gift Box Collection: Typically delivered within 3-4 business days.
  • All Other Products: Typically delivered within 10-14 business days.

International Orders (Outside the U.S.)

For all orders outside of the United States, the estimated delivery time is typically 10-14 business days. This takes into account average times for international transit and customs processing in your country.

To guarantee the quality and freshness you expect from TeaStart, we consider our tea and its protective packaging to be one complete item. For this reason, we are unable to accommodate requests to ship our tea without its essential foil bag.
