TeaStart FAQs

Choosing Tea

Which tea should I try first?

There is no single correct first tea. Use our Start Here guide to choose by tea style and brewing preference, or compare the current range in All Chinese Tea.

How are the teas organized?

The active range is grouped into green, black, oolong, white, and Pu-erh collections. Teaware is listed separately.

Brewing

Do I need a gaiwan?

No. You can start with a mug or small teapot. A gaiwan gives you more control over short, repeated infusions, but it is an option rather than a requirement.

How much leaf and what water temperature should I use?

Start with the guidance on the relevant product page. Water, vessel size, leaf shape, and personal taste all affect the result. Change one variable at a time after tasting the first infusion.

Stock and Orders

Why is an option unavailable?

If an option shows as unavailable, its current inventory is sold out. TeaStart does not make zero-stock options available for checkout.

Can I change or cancel an order?

Use our contact information as soon as possible. A change cannot be guaranteed after an order has entered processing.

Shipping and Returns

Where can I find shipping information?

See the current Shipping Policy for the terms that apply to your order. If your destination or situation is not covered, contact TeaStart before ordering.

What is the return policy?

See the current Refund Policy. The policy page, rather than this FAQ, is the source of truth for eligibility and process.

Product and Health Information

Are blog articles medical advice?

No. TeaStart articles provide general educational information about tea, brewing, caffeine, storage, culture, and everyday use. They are not medical advice and do not promise that a tea will prevent, treat, or cure a condition.

Where can I check privacy and terms?

Read the current Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
