Pu-erh tea comes in two broad styles: raw (sheng) and ripe (shou). TeaStart's current collection includes one loose-leaf tea in each style, so you can compare a brighter, more lively profile with a darker, smoother one.

Choose raw or ripe Pu-erh

• Da Xue Shan Raw Pu-erh Tea – 2017: choose this for wild-flower aroma, stone-fruit notes, and a warmer woody and mineral finish.
• No. 2 Imperial Court Ripe Pu-erh Tea – 2018: choose this for a smooth, full-bodied cup with dark cocoa, sandalwood, date-like, and earthy notes.
