BiLuoChun is an early-harvest, gently curled, aromatic green tea from an island within Tai Lake in the Dongting Mountains of Jiansu Province.Highly regarded, the delicate, downy leaves produce a gentle, sweet cup with notes of dark, nourishing greens and a pleasant, lingering hint of fruit blossoms and a subtle memory of smoke from the iron wok in which the tea was fried
"Biluochun" translates to "Green Spring Snail," which refers to the tightly rolled, spiral-shaped tea leaves resembling tiny snails. The leaves are typically covered in a fine velvety fuzz, giving them a silvery-green appearance. The dry leaves emit a sweet, floral, and fruity aroma. After brewing, the scent evolves, showcasing fresh, grassy notes and hints of nuts. Biluochun has a refreshing, complex flavor profile. The infusion is sweet and smooth, with prominent notes of floral and fruity sweetness complemented by a subtle nuttiness. When brewed, the tea delivers a crisp and refreshing experience, often enjoyed for its lingering aftertaste. The tea infusion itself is a light, pale green-yellow, reminiscent of spring vegetation. The brew's clarity reflects the tea leaves' quality, indicating minimal oxidation during processing.
